This Code of Practice (COP) was developed by the Petroleum Services Association of Canada (PSAC) to address the specific needs of the Canadian oil and gas well perforating industry and deals with issues related to licence holder responsibilities; the storage of loaded jet perforating guns; transportation of loaded jet perforating gun systems; gun assembly areas; and emergency response and reporting procedures.
Compliance with this Code of Practice is a recommended requirement in accordance with the Guidelines for Jet Perforating Gun Assembly Facilities issued by the Explosives Regulatory Division (ERD), Natural Resources Canada.
